Me

Although the common convention is that we are all different, sometimes it seems that we are all but the same human preforming the very same actions a typical day. So what sets aside each human being? Their experiences.

No one else can live my life, since no one else is me. I have lived through my life and it has irrefutably shaped me into a new person who is capable of complex thought, concern, and unfortunately some decisions that most people don't worry themselves with until their late twenties. Due to my parent's divorce my older brother provided guidance, paternal caring, and direction into our chaotic lives. Most times, in fact it felt as if he raised me, not my out-of-the-picture father nor my overstressed mother who practically killed herself working so that we could have the best education possible. Everyday since then has been a gift that I have chosen not to waste, but rather to cherish and use to help others and further my education, because education sets the foundation. I love the way my life has come to play out, because it all recently led to my Quniceañera this past summer. on that day, it felt as if the world had come together to celebrate success, not only my own, but the success of my entire family to blossom into young learners whom never give up. Me and my family are one in the same, united by blood and joined by experience.

For me, there has never been a typical day, but rather many unique days strung together that have made me who I am, a strong independent, and academically focused to achieve my goals.
